Due to the damage caused by Tropical Storm Agatha, several immediate attention works had to be carried out, which impacted the current budget allocated for routine and periodic maintenance of the roads. Therefore, there was a need to carry out a specific and detailed control of the amounts of work carried out on the projects contracted in the emergency response stage.

The work consisted of the collection of field data and evaluation of the extent of the affectations to the road network, the monitoring and supervision of the process of alerting and pointing private companies and the General Directorate of Roads to the sites with road and river emergencies, and in the estimation of the quantities and costs of this processes, the rehabilitation, and the reconstruction.
